Welcome to room 104!  My name is Brigid Sullivan and I will be your First Grade Teacher! I have been working in Minneapolis schools since 2008. This is my first year at Bethune and I couldn't be happier here! I grew up in the Twin Cities and did my undergrad and graduate work at UW-Madison. Last year I taught Kindergarten but I am so happy to be teaching 1st grade. Watching students learn how to read and become passionate about learning is the best part of my job. I believe in encouraging students to discover what works best for them and how they like to learn. We do a lot of hands on activities in class and building a strong classroom community. It has been a wonderful year!
